We recently upgraded our servers as well, and shortly afterward I noticed that my own IMAP access was degraded in various clients. Then our Mac users started calling in. (They refuse to use the client, of course.) So far, I have experienced limited IMAP access to mailboxes in Apple Mail, Mozilla Thunderbird, Microsoft Outlook, and Microsoft Outlook Express. I can also see the effect in a program called IMAPSize.
To restore partial access, I have performed the following tasks on problematic mailboxes:
Now, I don't know whether all of these are necessary or not, or whether there might be a better solution. The problem or limitation, however, is that enabling IMAP does not seem to be recursive -- that is, it doesn't seem to affect sub-folders.
What else can anyone contribute to this?
